Penélope Blanco · Engineering, science and education
Industrial chemical and mechanical engineer, mathematics teacher and laboratory technician. A profile connecting engineering, science, processes and education.
A technical perspective. Scientific curiosity. A passion for teaching.
Connecting disciplines.
Building understanding.
I am an industrial chemical and mechanical engineer, a mathematics teacher and a senior laboratory technician. My career brings together engineering, science, process analysis and education: distinct perspectives that complement one another in understanding problems and sharing knowledge.
↓A PROFILE THAT CROSSES BOUNDARIES
From industrial processes
to the classroom and laboratory.
My experience connects mechanical and chemical engineering, laboratory practice and teaching. I am interested in understanding how things work, analysing their processes and making that knowledge accessible.
Engineering provides a structured way to tackle challenges: observe the system, identify variables, analyse causes and weigh alternatives. Chemical training and laboratory experience add attention to detail, experimental method and respect for rigorous data.
In the classroom, that same perspective becomes a way of teaching mathematics through understanding and application. I see teaching as listening and support: creating a welcoming environment, explaining clearly and helping each person find meaning in what they learn. Science, industry and education are not isolated compartments, but fields that can enrich one another.
Understanding a process, experimenting and teaching share something essential: observing, asking questions and learning from evidence.
Three perspectives.
One connected outlook.
Engineering, experimentation and education meet in a career shaped by analysis, curiosity and communication.
Industrial engineering
Training in mechanical and industrial chemical engineering to understand systems, processes and technical challenges from different perspectives.
Science and laboratory
An experimental foundation focused on method, careful observation and rigorous interpretation of results.
Education and outreach
Teaching mathematics with clarity and context, connecting abstract ideas with science and everyday life.
Rigour in analysis.
Warmth in collaboration.
Values that connect my technical, experimental and teaching work.
Listening and collaboration
Understanding other people's needs and perspectives, communicating with warmth and contributing to shared goals.
Rigour and critical thinking
Analysing information carefully, asking good questions and grounding conclusions in evidence and reasoning.
Curiosity and continuous improvement
Learning from experience, exploring alternatives and approaching new challenges with perseverance and a willingness to improve.
Complementary expertise.A cross-disciplinary career.
Education spanning teaching, mechanical and chemical engineering, laboratory work and industrial organisation.
Master's in Teacher Training
Pedagogical and teaching-method training for classroom practice, learning design and student support.
Industrial Mechanical Engineering
An approach to analysis and problem-solving applied to mechanical systems and industrial processes.
Industrial Chemical Engineering
Knowledge of industrial chemical processes connecting science, mathematics and technical applications.
Senior Laboratory Technician
Practical training in procedures, analysis and experimental work, with a focus on rigour and observation.
Industrial organisation and Six Sigma
Training in organisation and process improvement, quality and analysis-based decision-making.
This combination of studies brings together technical, scientific, experimental, organisational and teaching skills.
FROM ANALYSIS TO COMMUNICATION
Understand systems.
Share what we learn.
Observe
Identify the context, listen to different perspectives and ask the questions that help clarify the challenge.
Analyse
Apply method, reasoning and attention to detail to connect data, processes and possible explanations.
Communicate
Translate complexity into clear ideas, whether teaching, sharing knowledge or collaborating in a technical setting.
ENGINEERING · SCIENCE · EDUCATION
Different disciplines.
One shared curiosity.
I am interested in challenges where technical analysis, science, process improvement and teaching meet. If you are looking for a versatile professional who is passionate about sharing knowledge, let's connect.
